The Scottish Fiddlers of LA Are Bringing Fun and Entertainment to Pasadena

By Stacey Mickles

For over 35 years, the Scottish Fiddlers of Los Angeles have entertained audiences throughout Southern California with the energetic brand of music from Scotland, the Shetland Islands, Cape Breton Island and Ireland.

Professional and amateur musicians comprise the Scottish Fiddlers who are brought together by the joy of playing hard driving rhythms, lilting melodies of Scottish music and sharing the experience with the public.

The Fiddlers are directed by internationally known Scottish fiddle performer, instructor, competition judge and Pasadena resident Jan Tappan,.

And now the Scottish Fiddlers of Los Angeles are bringing their brand of tradition and fun to Pasadena’s Wright Auditorium this Sunday at 2:30.

This is a family event open to the public and the tickets are only $5 and free for children under 13.

According to Fiddlers spokesperson Jody Gunn, the audience is encouraged to participate.

“The audience is both welcome and encouraged to sing, foot-stomp or clap along. Dancing in the aisles is welcome too.”

“We’ve had children spontaneously dance in front of the stage in previous performances .”

Advance tickets are available online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/3054854 and at the door before the event.
