Samhain News! Live Music and Fall Dates

Samhain is co-sponsored by the Scottish Fiddlers of Los Angeles and directed by Scottish Fiddler’s Aedan MacDonnell.

Here’s a message from Aedan:

Dia Duit! (Hello!)I know it’s only August, but Samhain 2018 is in production. We have some exciting news for “Samhain, A Celtic Halloween 2018.”

First! Songs and tunes from “Samhain” 2016 are now on sale for download! You’ve been asking for a CD, we’ve been saying, “soon,” and now it’s out. Single tracks start at $0.99, the entire album of 13 tracks (the appropriate number for Samhain) starts at $9.99.  100% of the proceeds will go directly toward making this show even more spectacular.  To purchase, click here, or go to: https://celtic-rhythms.com/music. (At this time, Music is available for download only.)

Next! Our new space! The show will be presented in the warehouse next door to MacLeod Ale. What does that mean? It means we have a lot more room – room for a bigger stage, room for more seating, and room for the preferred seating to have tables, as we’ve done in the past. We’re still planning on how to use all this space, but we’re working on plans to bring you the entire dining-drinking-entertainment experience.  We’re also looking into making parking easier.

This year we’ll have four shows with two dates:
Sunday, October 28 & Sunday, November 4
With matinee and evening shows both dates.
At MacLeod Ale, 14741 Calvert Street, Van Nuys, CA 91411

Preferred Seating: We’re still figuring out the seating. But if you want to be sure to get preferred seating, send us an email (at celticrhythms22@gmail.com) and we’ll put you on the Preferred list. You’ll get an email a week before everyone else when tickets are on sale.

Last! The Band’s Name! People have been asking the band to play in various venues, but they needed a name. So the band now has a name: ”Ghillie Dhu”  (Ghillie Dhu – a wild forest fairy from the Highlands of Scotland.)  Can’t wait for “Samhain” to hear some of your favorite tunes? You can see Ghillie Dhu this year for the first time outside of the show at the Seaside Highland Games. October 13 & 14, 2018 at the Ventura County Fairgrounds.  For more info, click here, or go to: http://www.seaside-games.com/

“Samhain, a Celtic Halloween” is sponsored by
the Scottish Fiddlers of Los Angeles
AND
MacLeod Ale Brewing Co.

Go raibh maith agat (Thank you!) We look forward to seeing you soon!
